What are the new white cameras on Londons main roads.Position above the road, there is a camera for every lane. These cameras are mounted on a bar that is attatched to a post on the kerb. If,forexample, the road had 3 lanes then there would be 3 cameras on the bar. Each one positioned on the bar so it points to the center of the lane looking down.Unlike the usual speed cameras that have 2 elements (the lens and the flash) these camera are in 2 separate parts. One is the lens that looks similar to any cctv type camera. The other part seems to be a type of sensor. I've seen dozens of these cameras since they started to appear in the past 2 months. They're all on major roads around London but not in central London so they're not Congestion Charge cameras. What ever they are they're definately aimed at catching out motorists. But for what? Some of the sites I've seen them at are the A30 at Hatton Cross, on the A316 between the A4 and M4 and the A4 in Chiswick near the 2 BP petrol stations.
What if cameras can take pictures on things that are invisible by the naked eye? I heard people are developing cameras that can take pictures and videos on subjects that can only be seen with a microscope. What would you do with such a new feature? Would that be even better if this camera is on a cellphone? By "invisible" I mean that they are too small to be seen by the naked eye, rather than truly invisible like ghosts
What digital cameras are good with low-light and up-close pictures? I am looking for a digital camera that will be used for a lot of at night or low-light shots as well as very close-up shots. Additionally, I would like a camera that is in the "compact" or "ultra-compact" category if possible. What are some suggestions for specific cameras, or, in general what features should I be looking for on cameras' spec sheets that would tell me that the camera was good with low-light or up-close shots?
What are the cameras used for that are mounted on top of intersection lights? I'm not talking about the "red light cameras". I'm talking about the cameras that are mounted on top of the lights at intersections. Please read the question people: I'm not talking about the obvious cameras that take a picture of you if you run a red light. I'm talking about the simple cameras mounted on top of the lights at intersections.
What are some good professional cameras, good for value? I absolutely love photography, and I have a point and shoot camera (Kodak V803) which is very good, but for some reason just won't work now. So, I decided to save up for a professional camera, but I want one that takes lovely photos, and is not too difficult to use, and most importantly; affordable. What are the best deals online for cameras like this? And anything else I need to know? :) Hehe, yes I just meant SLR ;)
What is the difference between the small traffic cameras, and red light cameras? Hey Guys, What do the small little black cameras do that are usually on top of the poles that traffic lights hang from? I always thought those were for taking pictures of "rule-breakers", but it looks like those are different. You can see the little cameras I am talking about on the middle of the horizontal pole in the background. What are they for? So those are different from red-light cameras (in the foreground)? Woops! Forgot to link to the picture: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/11/Red-light-camera-springfield-ohio.jpg/703px-Red-light-camera-springfield-ohio.jpg That is the one I was referring to in the text above. Oh, these can usually be found on EVERY single traffic light pole. What are they for?
Is there a place online I can discuss cameras with others? Photography is a hobby of mine. Sadly I am the only person I know interested in photography and cameras. Thanks but I have tried to talk about certain cameras on here and I never get any answers. Thanks again though.

Best place to get disposable cameras developed? I have several disposable cameras to get developed (from my wedding reception). I've taken a disposable camera to my local CVS before and the pictures turned out horrible... fuzzy and all... so where should I go to get these developed? I really dont want to take a chance in the pictures being ruined, I will have these for the rest of my life! Any suggestions? Personal experiences? Also, is there a difference in quality if you choose between 1 hour or "send off"? Developed in the store versus being sent off and developed somewhere else? Thanks!
What cameras have the magnifying glass macro mode? I need to take extreme close up photos(like the size of a matchhead) and so far have looked at the Sony T-series cameras. They have a magnifying glass macro mode (more powerful than regular macro mode) that seems to do a great job, but I'm curious if there are other cameras that also have that mode that I should look at before I make my decision. So what other cameras would do what I need?
What types of cameras would you use for photography? I'm doing a research project on photography and was just wondering if there's a possibility of having a list of cameras you would use for photography. Is this a good camera? Do they make cameras that get rid of noise? I saw the pentax optio a30 on QVC and was wondering if it would be a good camera for professional photography and stock photography? How do average speed cameras work on stretches of road that have traffic lights? I understand the general theory, but the road where they've been installed recently has several sets of traffic lights. Are the cameras connected to the lights and can therefore allow for the time you're stopped in the queue? If not, there's not much point to them, as your queueing time will inevitably bring down your average speed. I realise there are different types of camera, but these are definitely average speed cameras. There are something like 8 on each side of the road within the space of about 6 miles, and there are 5 sets of traffic lights in the same stretch of road.

Canon Rebel Xti Nikon D40X Nikon D50 Nikon D70 I am thinking about buying one of them at ebay, and I would like to get some advice because these can be almost the same price. I would like to learn more about cameras in the future, so I am thinking to get one which I can use for long time. Is there any suggestion??? Thanks.

What Percentage of Americans Use Digital Cameras? I'm trying to figure out how widespread digital cameras are. I know my mom doesn't use one. How to unassociate memory card or camera with Scanners and Cameras Windows XP? My aunt was trying to transfer pictures from her memory card (not sure if from camera or if card was put into computer slot) and she mistakenly told it to use the scanners and cameras thing in Windows XP, now she says every time she tries to use the camera on the computer, it goes there and she wants it to stop. This is all I know for now, can anyone help undo whatever she did?

The flash in disposable cameras would work great but i need like 10 or 20 of them. How come Pinkberry does not allow cameras in their store? I went to Pinkberry to try out their frozen yogurt for the first time. And Once I got there, the first thing that I noticed was that Pinkberry doesn't allow cameras. That ( no camera ) sign was located in the front of the store. I ate their shaved ice with strawberries and the squishy (mochi??) thing and kiwi. It was most def yummy. I still question myself about the no camera sign. Also the Pinkberry location I had tried was in P.V.
How come all digital cameras use this system for storing photos? How come all digital cameras use this system for storing photos? Root directory: DCIM (and sometimes MISC) Inside DCIM: 100xxxxx (Five letter word like NIKON, CANON, PENTX, CASIO....) What is the "Misc" folder for? What does "DCIM" stand for? Why exactly five digits after "100"? Who set this standard for all digital cameras? Thanks for answering this dumb question!
What is the correct posture in taking pictures using digital cameras? I am used to taking pictures of cameras that are SLR types, the lens rest on the left palm in a holding position and the right finger (pointer finger) rest on the shutter. One time i was on a friends wedding my friends laughed on the way i took their pictures using their slim type digital cameras, because i tucked my both arms to avoid disrupted images during pressing the shutter. Am i really making fool out of myself?
Where can I find reviews of film cameras? I have found several in-depth sites dedicated to reviewing a wide range of digital cameras, but none for film. If you know of any for film cameras, particularly if they include non-professional cameras, that'd be great. No responses on the benefits of digital, please.
